[note] Q. I have heard a cow has more than one stomach. Is this true?
A. Yes. This is shown in the photo above where Billy Custer and his wife and baby watch their butchers dress out a beef on their ranch on the Cimarron River, in Kansas, about 1888. The stomachs (plural) are shown in the front center of the picture. The liver and heart are in the pan. Photo courtesy Paul Custer, son.
