[note] W.C. Stout Store at Arkalon, Kansas circa 1896-7. This shows the south and east view of the store, being the main intersection of the town, only a short walk from the depot and stockyards. Photo from an original owned by Mrs. Frank Stefan, 711 N. Grant, Liberal, Kans.

Photo is of a huge building. Part is two stories with a porch on the second floor. There is a man and women standing on the sides of the corner door. There is a horse or mule on the left side of photo and a windmill in the left background.
