[note] “A Friendly Game along the Cattle Trail” This old photograph shows “Doc” Frank Hagadone, half-brother of Cy Hagadone, old Olive ranch foreman for Olive Brothers in the 1880s. The men are enjoying a friendly card game and a drink along the cattle trail. The time appears to be the late Eighties and no others in the photograph are identified. “Doc” Hagadone was familiarly known by many Texas and Montana cowboys, having ridden the trails as a cowboy many years. Cy Hagadone ranched in Nebraska in his later years. Cy passing on to his reward at Lexington (Old Plum Creek) not many years ago. Photo courtesy Mrs. George Hledik, Roundup, Mont., daughter of “Doc” Frank Hagadone.
