It’s the day when we check the brands on the tally sheets of a dyin’ year while passin’ another mile stone on the long trail. (next paragraph) I’m wishin’ you every joy that Christmas can bring you and hope an hopin’ that the closin’ (apostrophe looks like an 8) year has fetched you some comfort and blessings along with its storms and stampedes. (next paragraph) Believing theta hombre is young who has health, an’ rich who has friends. (next paragraph) When the gerat eternal trail boss rounds you up and corralls you in the swimmin’ pen on the banks of the river Jordan, to check your record, I know that He can’t accuse you of sleepin’ on the day herd, ridin’ two together on night guard or runnin’ the hands up on the clock to shorten the guard. (next paragraph) Adios old boy, there are but few left like you. Burris Wright
