[back] Other guests at the Rogers Hotel: Sam Heraldson and his “wife.” Sam worked with a Washington, D. C. ring that took cars and re-sold them to unsuspecting buyers. The FBI came to Camp Hill one day looking for Sam. He had left for Florida the day before. A few days later I went to Bay Minette, Ala. to finish up some business there. My friend the Veterinarian at Camp Hill said some of the folks there said, “Yes, Chrisman and the Heraldson’s are probably on a beach in Florida now!” Ha! What suspicious people we have in this land.
