[back] Feb. 5, 1942 To my husband, The postal authorities wouldn’t let me send this unless it weighed less than 2 ounces so I’ve had to strip it down to it’s barest necessities. I’m sending it on your birthday even if you don’t get it then. I love you and I wish I was looking at you instead of just sending this picture to look at you for me.
