Man had a “shell” (saddle) looked like something that bad few stolen from the Indians. He arrived for Penny Brothers. Caught big steer that had broken [rank] several times from the thoroughbred herd. Steer made hard run and Texas man’s riata ass tried first. Jerked the old flat tree clean out of saddle, left cowboy looking mighty foolish. Miss J[can’t read} Bernard Lemert
