[front] Allen Nichols, Th’er at Work Allen Nichols tests the area at Old Fargo Springs, Kansas, and finds that the old ghost town set xxxxxxx some distance away from the large brick schoolbuilding which is generally associated as the old townsite today. Nichols is using modern detection equipment to locate the sand-choked, grass-covered cellers to the old homes. The Cimarron River flows just a few rods to the south. Photo by author.
